Hero Roulette is a three-day event that starts on the second day of big events like Hall of Governors, Strongest Governor, or Kingdom of Power in Kingshot. In this event, you can spin a roulette using gems or Lucky Chips to win rewards, including hero shards for Mythic Heroes (Saul, Zoe, Petra).
You also get one free spin each day, so that’s three free spins in total during the event. The available hero changes with each generation — in Gen 1 you can get Saul shards, in Gen 2 it’s Zoe, and in Gen 3 it’s Petra.

How does the event work?
This is how the Hero Roulette event works:
- You can spin the roulette up to 150 times per day, for a total of 450 spins over the three-day event.
- Each spin costs 1 Lucky Chip or 1,500 gems, while 10 spins can be done at a discounted price of 13,500 gems.
- The roulette has 10 different possible rewards. The chances of getting x5 hero shards are 4.37%, while x1 hero shard has a 32.81% drop rate.
- You can earn extra shards through Spin Rewards, which are unlocked at 5, 15, 35, 70, and 120 spins. These rewards can be claimed once per event.
- To reach 120 spins, you need 162,000 gems. However, with the three free spins from the event, the total gem cost drops to 157,500.
Getting the Best Value from Hero Roulette
To get the best value from the event, avoid going beyond 120 spins. At this point, you’ll receive around 115 hero shards from spin rewards alone. This is how the expected rewards from the Hero Roulette itself break down:

- 1 Hero Shard → 32.81% chance
Expected Shards Per Spin: (5×0.0437)+(1×0.3281)=0.2185+0.3281=0.5466 shards per spin
Expected Shards in 120 Spins: 0.5466×120=65.59
In summary, you can expect about 66 hero shards from roulette spins. When combined with the 115 shards from spin rewards, the total comes to 181 hero shards.
